Izabela Albrychiewicz becomes CEO of GroupM CEE

GroupM, the media investment group of WPP, announces the appointment of Izabela Albrychiewicz as CEO of GroupM markets in CEE (Central and Eastern Europe). GroupM CEE represents a community that includes 10 markets in Europe: Croatia, the Czech Republic, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.

 

Izabela Albrychiewicz takes on this new position after four years as CEO of GroupM Poland and a career of over 24 years within the WPP network.

“The merger of CEE markets highlights their collective scale to enable greater efficiency and speed in decision-making, as well as to open up more career opportunities for our employees. Our approach will support clients we work with who have business objectives in the CEE region, as well as international clients aiming to enter the region. Iza has informally held this role for some time. We are formalizing it as we believe Iza and her new role are fundamental to the success of the GroupM CEE alliance,” said Josh Krichefski, CEO of GroupM EMEA and UK.

The alignment of CEE markets allows GroupM to respond even more efficiently to client requirements. As CEO, Albrychiewicz will help clients achieve their ambitions and business objectives. The 10 countries within the alliance represent a central point for the growth and development of clients in the EMEA region, being considered markets that promote innovation and excellence.

“During the period in which I informally led the GroupM CEE alliance, I had the opportunity to get to know and understand the markets in the region. I see great potential for closer cooperation, along with knowledge and innovation exchange. The formalization of my new role coincides with clients’ tendency to regionalize their marketing departments and their need for agency partners with aligned representation. Through my new role, I will be closer to our client’s needs and the specifics of the increasingly globalized media market. GroupM and our agencies are in a unique position to support clients in defining a new era in advertising as the largest player in the market, with a share that fluctuates around 30% in advertising investments,” stated Izabela Albrychiewicz, CEO of GroupM CEE.
